Helped: Syntax questions and generic boilerplate like basic API calls.
Got in the way: Copilot suggestions were slower than typing and added mental load.
… It was also strangely opinionated about what comments should say. In the end it felt like it added to my mental load by parsing and deciding to take or ignore suggestions so I turned it off. Typing is (and has been for a while) not the hard part of my job anyway.
